When your Clearpay account has a $0 balance, you can close your account at any time via the Clearpay app or website.
There are options to help you manage your Clearpay account instead of closing it:

Reduce what you can spend with Clearpay
Set a spend cap with a few simple taps in the Clearpay app, or by contacting us directly to request a spend limit decrease. Learn more here.

Deactivate your account
Deactivating your account enables you to come back and reactivate your account at a later time. Learn more here.
To close your account
Note: Closing your account is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Via the Clearpay website:
- Log in to your account
- Make sure that your account has a $0 balance
- Select the 'Account' option on the left side of the screen
- Select 'Close my account' which appears at the bottom under the 'Your details' heading
- Select a reason as to why you are wishing to close your account
- Select the action you would like to take e.g. close your account and press confirm.
Via the Clearpay app:
- Log in to your account
- Select the 'My Clearpay' tab at the bottom right of your screen
- Select the 'Profile details' tab
- Select 'Close my account'
- Select a reason as to why you are wishing to close your account and continue.
- Select the action you would like to take e.g. close your account and press confirm.
