To help with this, we limit Clearpay to people who are 18 years or older and who are genuinely committed to working with us to plan, book, buy and pay responsibly.
To protect your privacy and security and comply with regulatory requirements, we need to verify your identity when you sign up to Clearpay. We are supported by third party identification verification providers who confirm the personal information you provide us matches what they have on file about you. This information is lawfully sourced from third party sources. You will be notified about our practices through the signup process and in our Privacy Policy. All personal information you provide in the verification process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Below is our process to manually ID should our automated identity verification process be unsuccessful.
Got a UK driving licence or passport?
Great you are one of the lucky customers that should be able to simply click on the envelope below, follow the directions on the form and upload a copy of your licence (front and back).
Don't have a driving licence or passport - what else can we accept?
We can accept a birth certificate PLUS we need proof of address.
Proof of address
We will accept one of the following that matches the address on your Clearpay Account, this must be from within the past 3 months.
- Utility Bill
- Bank Statement
- Mobile Phone Bill
- Tax form
- Government issued letter
If the name on your Clearpay account differs from the one on your ID you will need to also provide one of the following:
- Marriage certificate
- Birth certificate
- Deed poll document
