You can always add a new card to your account by following the prompts in the “Billings” section of “My Account” online, or on the App. When adding a new card to your account, Clearpay will verify it by issuing a temporary small authorisation hold of £5 or less. Authorisation holds are small amounts of money that are never actually charged to your account and should be voided from your payment method within a few business days.
One of your cards will always be listed as your “Preferred Payment Method”. This is the card we pre-select for you at checkout when placing new orders.
If you want to change it you need to do so before placing the order.
It’s important for you to know that if you place an order with a particular card, this will always be the first card we attempt for the payments for that particular order. You cannot remove such card from your account until the order is fully paid. Once this is done you can remove a card by following the prompts in the “Billing” section of “My Account”. You can add a new card to your account at any time but if you nominate this card as your “Preferred Payment Method” it will only be your “Preferred Payment Method” for future orders.
If you wish to pay your existing instalments with a different card you can do so using the PAY NOW functionality in your account. You need to do this individually for each existing instalments you wish to pay with the new card.
